Practical offline AI, with your maps close at hand.

Map Edition includes the Core Edition toolkit and preloaded offline maps covering the United States. Explore geographic information, search locally, save locations, and bring map context into your AI questions on a compatible powered computer.

  • Everything in Core Edition. Offline questions, supported photo analysis, ready-made prompts, and your personal Knowledge Base.
  • Explore installed maps offline. Browse included U.S. geographic data and available layers without an internet connection.
  • Keep useful places organized. Search local map data and save locations for reference.
  • Add location context to your questions. Use map-aware assistance alongside your own observations and trusted information.

Installed maps are reference data. They do not provide live conditions or turn-by-turn navigation. AI can make mistakes; verify consequential guidance against trusted references.

  • From chat to the map. Copy a place name from chat into map search, select a matching result, and zoom in.

About the demonstrations

The videos show the Windows interface: local AI questions, photo analysis, ready-made prompts, map search, and saved Camp/custom pins. The illustrated field-guide demonstration also uses online Image Studio, which requires internet, then saves the result for later reference in the local Knowledge Base. The Mac build is supplied separately when you select Mac.

What arrives

One 128GB genuine SanDisk® swivel flash drive, preloaded with the Windows or Mac build you select, including Map Edition software and installed map data. Space remains for your Knowledge Base files.

Choose your computer

Windows and Mac versions are different. Select the version for the computer you will use. Each drive includes one selected build and requires a compatible powered computer. A computer is not included.

Computer requirements and performance

16 GB RAM minimum for Optimized. More memory is recommended. Optimized is the default mode and is designed for everyday use.

OffGrid AI runs locally using your computer's resources. Initial loading and responses may be slow, depending on your processor, available memory, and USB drive. Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee fast performance.

  • Computer: Use the separate build for your compatible Windows laptop or desktop, or a Mac with an Apple M-series chip (M1 or newer) and macOS Tahoe 26.0 or later. Intel Macs are not supported.
  • Processor: For Windows, a modern CPU from roughly the last four years is recommended. Performance varies by computer.
  • Graphics: A compatible GPU can improve performance but is not required for Optimized.
  • Connection: Match the USB port to the supplied drive. Windows Core ships with USB-A; Mac Core and both Map versions ship on the USB-C swivel drive.
Optional Advanced mode

Advanced is an additional mode for higher-spec computers. It is not required to use the ToolKit. Advanced requires at least 32 GB of RAM; 48 GB or more is recommended. On Mac, Advanced also requires about 18 GB of available memory. It can take substantially longer to load and answer. Both Core and Map Edition include Optimized and Advanced; these are AI modes, not separate product editions.

Buying as a gift or for future use? The computer used to run the ToolKit will need to meet these requirements. If you are unsure, contact support with the computer model, operating system, and memory before using it.
